COVID-19 is affecting all of us.  To adhere to the current restrictions we are asking all customers whether we are working on your boat, have work to complete or are launching, that you stay off your boat until you have been notified to help protect our staff. Covid can live on surfaces for up to 72 hours. Our staff will be wearing gloves and will handle your boat as little as possible however the more we can all do the safer we all will be.

For example, if your launch date is May 4th, you should have all your work completed by May 1st and leave the boat to "Self Quarantine" for 72 hours. Then our staff, wearing gloves, can get on board and safely launch your boat. If you come to remove your cover you may consider then wiping the boat off with disinfectant.

Another example would be if we are working on your boat, please refrain from returning to check on the progress, as surfaces my become contaminated and then our staff have to wait to enter the boat, take extra precautions while working or spend additional time cleaning the boat before finishing the work. We will complete any outstanding work and your boat and it will be returned in the condition we received it in or better.

If you have any questions about this feel free to reach out via email or phone.

We thank everyone for their patience as this is affecting everyone, but we are doing all we can to safely get your boats in the water or repairs completed as needed.

Shining Waters Management

UPDATE Friday MARCH 27th

Dear Customers,

We want to assure you that we take the health and well-being of our community, customers, and associates very seriously. Like you, we're closely monitoring the quickly developing effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we will practice social distancing. We have temporarily closed our store to protect and care for those who work with us, our customers, and the public.

We will miss seeing you in our store, but if you still require products, please email or call and we would be happy to get an order ready for you. We can deliver it to your boat in the yard or make arrangements for you to pick it up. You can also find us on our social channels to keep updated.

We have been getting a few questions so we will answer some of them below:

  1. Can I still come work on my boat? Yes, the yard remains open, come to your boat as often as you like, however our washrooms remain closed. Please take the same precautions as outlines by our Government when interacting with other boaters in the yard.

  2. How do I pay my Invoice? We are accepting e-transfers to and we are also onsite answering the phone and can take a Credit Card payment over the phone.

  3. Will you be launching boats? As of today, the plan is to launch boats starting in May or whenever you are scheduled. This could change and we will be asking customers to stay away during the launch but we are looking forward to getting your boat in the water for you to enjoy.

  4. Are the Docks and Moorings going to be installed? As of now our plan is to start installing our dock and mooring infrastructure for the 2020 season.

  5. Can I purchase Products? Yes, we can take orders over the phone or email and will be happy to take them to your boat (provided it's at Shining Waters) otherwise we can make arrangements for you to pick your order up at the store.

  6. What about garbage? We will be un-locking our large garbage, cardboard, paper and plastic bins on April 3rd and we will be putting containers around the yard the same day. We would like to be more environmentally friendly this year, we are asking customers to sort their garbage as they would at home. Also please do not put any hazardous materials in the garbage.

  7. Will the BoatingStore open? We will remain closed in the near future, we are hoping as things slow we will open the store later in the spring. But this decision will be made at a later date.

  8. Can we purchase Gasoline & Diesel? Yes, we will have the pump open again this year, however depending on how things progress we may have restricted hours to purchase Gasoline or Diesel at the Dock Side.

Boating is a great past time and usually done in small groups, we encourage people to get their boat ready for the season, hopefully providing a distraction from everything that's happening.

We are all in this together. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will follow guidance from public health officials and government agencies, so we can continue to support our customers and communities as needed.
